I would stay again.Queen’s University is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, half-way between Montreal and Toronto and a short drive to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. Would stay again - the outdoor pool looked lovely & the menus posted for both in house restaurants seemed decent but we didn't eat at either. The coffee in the room was decent as well - what made it even nicer was real cream & milk in the fridge (not nasty powder whitener). As an early riser, I appreciated the coffee in the lobby (in addition to in the room). Although a buffet breakfast, the staff was very attentive regarding removing dirty dishes, etc.

Full breakfast was included and wonderful - typical eggs, sausage, cereals, but some lovely additions like make your own waffles, lots of fruit and yogurt. The fireplace in the room was a lovely (surprise) touch. We had a double room (4 adults) and although not huge, definitely roomy enough for just a few days.

The building was updated, clean & conveniently located with plenty of free parking. I haven't stayed in a Best Western previously so this could be typical of the chain, but I was suitably impressed. Odd details but they definitely detracted from the overall impression/experience Particularly noticeable given the cleanliness in the room itself. At no time, prior to check in, was there any mention of the furniture prohibition. I had reserved by phone, directly with the hotel and confirmed that the pet friendly designation was in effect. PET FRIENDLY? Oddly, though 'pet friendly' once we arrived a form that was to be signed that stated " no pets on furniture". Had to request step stool to clamber on to it. BED Oddly the bed is four feet high to the mattress top.
FOOD Supper (take-out to room) from the Bistro was delicious.
